We have two doctors on staff to see patients: Dr. Katrinka March and Dr. Karen Shore.
Montecito Animal Clinic has been in business and in the same location for over 30 years! The clinic was founded in 1970 by Dr. Foster, who remained on staff until his retirement in June, 2014. He sold the practice to Dr. March in 2001, who still owns the practice today.
Katrinka March D.V.M.
Dr. Katrinka March is a graduate of the University of California at Davis with a degree in Animal Science (1984) and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (1990). She began working at Montecito in 1990 and became owner of the practice in 2001. A lifelong resident of Martinez, Dr. March has a serious investment in our community. She sees patients on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and an occasional Saturday.
Dr. March is the proud mom of one college graduate ( her son graduated with Mechanical Engineering, U.C. Davis class of 2014), and her daughter is currently enrolled in college studying music and anything theatre. Dr. March does her best to keep up with their busy and blossoming lives. She also has a wonderful husband George who helps out with the clinic keeping the building and grounds healthy so she can keep the patients healthy. They have a small herd of cats which are a constant source of entertainment, and keep busy with a number of musical endeavors.
Karen Shore B.V.M.S.
Dr. Shore currently sees patients Tuesday, Thursday, Fridays and alternates Saturdays.
